LINDA CORBY JULY 2006 NEWSLETTER
The month of July has been fantastic for me, awesome in fact, and I am going to share it with you in the hope that some good luck will come your way.
About three weeks ago I got an email from a stranger who had been to my website, in the email there was a link to a video which I clicked on and watched, the video was along the lines of your positive thinking and how the ‘Cosmic way’ could change your life.
Consequently I put the theories from this video into practice, not really expecting anything to happen, but it did!
I made a wish list of all the good things I wanted to happen or have, some realistic, some silly, and some downright outrageous.
A week after I had made the list number one on my list arrived out of the blue. It was a beautiful white Classic Jaguar with red leather interior (yes I am a car freak.) The point is it was exactly what I had put on the top of my wish list. My husband was helping a friend by doing a few tow-ins for him, and he had to go to an old customer called Peter (we ran our own breakdown service for over 25 years) to move some cars because he had sold his house and was moving. He actually gave us the car and I was totally bowled over. I actually ran up to him at our local dump flung my arms around him told him I loved him and planted a big kiss on his cheek.
You would not believe how much I love the Jag, which I could not have afforded to buy and have always wanted!
My Classic Jaguar
She is a classic one of the last real Jaguars before they became a Ford. She is not only beautiful to look at but also lovely to drive I call her Amy. The house is being repainted right now hence the scaffolding.
My luck has done a 100% turn around in my head. It just keeps getting better the next day we did a job from the Ormer Farm and they gave me a huge bucket of Ormers, when I asked how I should cook them they went away and brought back an even bigger bucket of them with even bigger Ormers in it! Unbelievable as this was the second thing on my wish list! I didn't take a photo of them.
Now as you can imagine I was starting to get excited by my good luck, but was this coincidence or what?
Then the third thing on my wish list happened. I wished for some really good weather, not just a few days but a chunk of Australian type weather and it is here! So you can blame me for the heat wave in the UK if you like.
The fourth thing on my wish list was for the sales of my autobiography ‘Bad Blood’ to pick up, and they have started to, now when I check my internet bank more copies have been selling by the day, and I keep meeting people when I’m out and about who have bought copies from the book shops and say they love it!
As a result of my now very positive attitude, that is a complete reverse of my previous overly pessimistic one. I am now so happy inside and out. Yes over the years I have had more than my fair share of misery, but I have never been a desolate type of person, in fact the people who have read my autobiography have said how surprised at the fact that, although it was very sad in some places how hilarious it was in others.
If the Cosmo or positive thinking can bring luck to your door or not is something that no-one can really answer 100%, all I know for sure it is working for me right now.
I wished to be able to buy a wonderful dress for my daughter April to ware at her Prom and for her to arrive at the prom in style.
My beautiful daughter April having just got out of our Friend Robin’s Roller to go to her Prom.
Above is a photo of my youngest daughter April arriving at her prom last month in our friend Robin Ward (Robin Ward Recovery Service) roller, I am sure you will agree she is gorgeous too, but the point is that it was another wish come true.
I don’t judge success by what you have in the bank, or for that matter what possessions one has collected, although it is nice to have a few pleasurable items.
Real joy in life comes from the things one cannot buy.
I tend to judge others by their actions rather than the empty promises that a lot of people make. To me when someone buys a copy of my autobiography it shows me that they are not just all wind without substance, that they do have a heart, and they care enough to help me to keep my promise to my daughter Natasha who we lost to cancer when she was just twelve years of age.

This was our beloved daughter Natasha with her pony Rosie a year before she came down with Cancer. She was, still is in my heart the most beautiful, intelligent, cheeky, humanitarian, and most wonderfully loving child ever.
